I felt the locks/socks rhyme was a bit forced, but the rest of it is fun, quirky, and whimsical. Well done!

I love I love! Oh, Mr Quick you set my gaslight burning. I love the Dr Seuss feel and the poetry within prose. And the scene is fantastic, some mix of the Great Gatsby party and the Hobbit. This has made my day!
