Serendipitous? Time Will Tell

Sometimes it takes an outside source, or the serendipitous accumulation of several outside sources to receive a message that is meant only for you. It can be part of a movie, a song, or a written phrase. It might even be something that you’ve seen before and only now takes on a special relevance to your current situation. In this vein, I offer three quotes from F. Scott Fitzgerald because I recently saw “Midnight in Paris” and it feels appropriate. Is there any resonance?

“Great art is the contempt of a great man for small art.”

“Show me a hero and I will write you a tragedy.”

“It is in the thirties that we want friends. In the forties we know they won’t save us any more than love did.”
