The Answer Lies Inside Me

Captain—

I don’t know if you’ll get this, or understand what I mean. But know this: You are right. Some within the Church are not what they appear to be. From the day you set forth, even before you scooped me up in a death orbit around what was left of Mars, they’ve been planning this. It’s all about one thing to them. It’s not about kindness, or goodwill, or even some twisted sense of a salvation complex.

It is only about control.

I hid this in the only place I figured it could be hidden. I just hope I’ll be able to tell you where to find it. They’re on to me, I know it. I’ve found some stuff rearranged in my quarters. I hear people trailing me in the corridors. I just hope that in case of the worst that they leave my body.

Go to Bishops Young and Mallard. They can be trusted; they are innocent of all crimes. They are genuine. As for the others, they ALL planned this. This inhumanity runs all the way up to the Archbishop.

And protect Fleance. You know how close we are. He knows. I told him everything.
