Winter 2014 Ficlympics: 26 Sentences (Limitations Event)

Write a story of precisely 26 sentences on any subject you please. Successive sentences must begin with successive letters of the alphabet. You may start at any point in the alphabet you want and may go through the entire alphabet either forward or backward.

Given that 26 sentences is rather a lot for the 1024 character limit, you may use a maximum of two stories, one as a sequel to the other.

This challenge is one of three in the Limitations event for the Winter 2014 Ficlympics. If you enter this challenge, consider entering the other two (24 Words and Monosyllabics) as well.
