The concept is simple: write a story inspired by a lyric in a song. The lyric must be one sentence (or two if you absolutely must) and it has to be the title of the story. From there, you have free range on creativity.

How will the winner be picked? I’d rather not give any specific guidelines because I want you to feel free in your writing. So I’ll just say that I consider myself a fair judge of fiction (and non-fiction), and will pick the one I think is best.

Oh! And if it helps, play the song in the background while you write to set the mood. It worked for me…
