Write the Climax!
I’ve been working on writing a book, guided by a wonderfully informative kit called the “You Can Write a Novel Kit.” It contains a number of resources, including a fantastic book that gives you a new approach for writing fiction.
The two most important parts of a fiction novel are the beginning and the climax. The beginning hooks the reader, but the climax is the entire purpose of why they’re reading the book. Therefore, the climax and the beginning are the two things that should be written first and foremost, the sections where you expend the greatest amount of your creative energies.
This challenge focuses on the climax, specifically.
I want you to write the most powerful, riveting climax you can think of.
Don’t worry about introducing the characters, setting up the scene, or anything leading up to this pivotal moment of truth; simply write out the climax.
I look forward to seeing the results!
