After reading Steve Saylor’s story “The Rusted Locket – Part I”, I was reminded of my love for the Joss Whedon show Firefly, and it got me to thinking of a challenge…

What if Fox had never cancelled the show?

What if it still existed?

There are 2 scenarios I want you to write about:

1) How the world would be now if the show had been elongated into 6 or 7 seasons.

OR

2) A brand new Firefly story, set in the universe of the Alliance controlled future of 2517 onwards.

Obviously, this challenge is for people who have heard of and/or are fans of the show. Depending on how many people on Ficly fit into those two categories will affect the popularity of this challenge.
But let’s give it a shot anyway, and get this piece of gosa flyin’!
