So – various people within the Ficy community have had conversations with me about my being, well, English.

These conversations have, on the whole, been with Americans.

They have been rather amusing conversations.

As a result of them, in this challenge I ask you to write a story that spans the Atlantic – whether it be about an Englishman or an American, the countries themselves, or indeed a blissful combination of all of these things, you can choose to debunk some common stereotypes, or shamefully enforce them for laughs – the choice is yours.

Not being pig-ignorant, of course England and America aren’t the only nations that produce Ficlyteers – so for anybody of another country, I invite you to choose either to lampoon both nationalities with all your impartiality and international wisdom or write something about America or England as well as your own nationality.

Long-term challenges irk me, so I give you 10 days, get writing!
