Unlimited Budget
It’s summer, and that means summer blockbusters! We keep hearing about how each movie has a massive budget that guarantees an eye-popping spectacle. Each new movie that comes out has to outdo everything that came before by being bigger, louder, and more epic.
One of the best things about writing fiction is that we have an unlimited budget. My challenge is to create something truly epic, something that would bankrupt a movie studio trying to make it into a film. You decide what that means: it can have a galactic scale, or cover a million years, or involve a thousand extras in a kung-fu battle against cyborg dinosaurs.
