Legend of Gabriél (4)

The Prince followed the soldier as Mother pulled me away to dance with her. The grand entrada would happen soon and I needed to be relaxed.

Atención!” The soldiers called to everyone. Everybody dropped what they were doing and looked in the direction in which they heard the voice. The musicians began playing flamenco music and royal chairs were being carried on the shoulders of slaves. A different color for each of the royal family. Red for the King, purple for the Queen, yellow for the Princess and green for the Prince.

Mother and Father didn’t seem to recognize the Prince, maybe it was him being all cleaned up. All I knew was that I wanted to find out what he was doing in the rain the night before. The nature of human being is to be curious, so I prayed to God that I was not going against his will.

The royal family was guarded heavily, but I had found an instant where the Prince was out of sight and out of protection. I tugged him away into an alley, away from the crowd.
