Time was fixed - 2

Now, my perception of the fixed entirety of time has changed. Since I gazed into the mind of that creature and the terrible things within.
Time is no longer fixed, but flows around events, and the future can be changed relative to the past. I am like a lost sailor, unable to steer myself on the tides of a now dynamic time.
I still guard the Device, because I must. It is the purpose for which I was built. It is the only thing I can do now. I can still see through past and future, and continually block attempts that weren’t supposed to happen.
This troubles me.
I do not wish to know what the mad creature knew, as it would no doubt destroy my mind.
But I am curious.
I would like to know what has unstuck destiny from its pre-determined path.
Curiosity is a feeling I have never before experienced, as is uncertainty.
It is troubling, like the new holes and gaps in my knowledge of the temporal flow.
