Hunter: Chase On!
My footsteps slapped on the hard asphalt as I ran, and kept running. I heard booted footfalls behind me, versus my bare feet. Rocks dug in and made me whimper with pain but I kept moving, anxious with the thought of having to get away from them. Why were they after me? They’d burst into the front door and demanded I’d come with them. I’d once had a dream about that and,well, now I understood that dream. I had crashed right through the living room window, and shards of glass had dug into my bare feet and coated my Bollistar tank top and Arnopetlse jeans, the ratty ones that I slept in.
Now they seemed to be herding me, evenly spaced out behind me so they could cut off whatever path I had to take. Every time I tried to turn down a street, there were dark figures shaking their heads at me at the end of the street.
I had to admit I was scared out of my wits, and it was only my running that kept me going. I had no stamina and therefore was breathing very heavily, but I kept moving, running from the threat…
