Another revelation to The Healer was the duality of magical energy. While harvesting energy could lead to death, the energy itself could be used to give life. Whether this be in small incantations for healing and well-being, or in various rituals that steal the life of one creature to extend the life of another, the transfer of energy can act also as a transfer of life.

In fact, when someone harvests the life of an organism, that life energy is stored within that person, and it gradually dissipates into that person’s own life force. This means that any unused magical force within a person is converted back into life force, in turn healing and extending that person’s life potential.

Some users simply allow this transference to occur, letting the life force of others be absorbed, granting what many consider an “eternal youth.”

Some choose to use the energy as soon as they harvest it.

Yet others use charms to temporarily store this energy, so that the body doesn’t absorb it, and it can be used later.
