Weird. I like the prose mixed in with a simple poem. Very odd feel to it, and I can’t decide if it’s sci-fi, fantasy, or instanity.

I don’t neccessarily understand it, but I don’t think I need to, it’s a really flowing, imaginative, intellectual piece of prose – good to see stuff like this on Ficly!

With ‘inclusion’ challenges, it’s all too common for writers to centre their entire entry around the criteria, but not here, it just fits – so well done, a lovely entry – MH :)

I love how the poem transects the prose here. It ties it together quite nicely, and is epic while still maintaining brevity as well.

This is one of the most intriguing stories I have read on Ficly. I love the intertwining of poetry and prose, and how well they compliment each other. The narrator’s voice is very clear, and I do wonder if he succeeds.
