I love the imagery. The dialogue is nicely done.

But, I’m afraid I hate the concept.

Amusingly bizarre and definitely pushes some boundaries. At first I didn’t, but by the end I liked the gradual reveal of what was going on.

I’m glad the character decided to answer to God’s calling! Great story!

I’m not one for the Christian faith, but this seems really interesting. It reminds me of how surprised I was when my sister asked me if I wanted to go to church with her and her girlfriend.

I totally thought it was going to be like The Proposal, except reversed genders, and “the boss” was some old guy with a lot of money who just wanted to “get some”.

…And is it supposed to seem like the G-man wants her to be a nudist too?

Not a nudist, no. She’ll be a proper nun and wear modest clothing. It’s simply that she was naked at the time.

This is the second story I’ve read of yours so far that has to do with a lesbian. That makes me happy :)

This is a very unique piece. I was a little confused at first but it all made sense by the end. I think that this story line would actually make a lovely novel.

It’s something of a theme of mine. It’s my ambition, one day, to write a believable straight woman character. Not got there yet…

I agree with dkscully that its not necessarily a plot I like, but I did enjoy the execution.

Some easy steps to change this story to being about a straight woman character:

‘But you’re gay’ → ‘But you’re a pole dancer’
‘With Monica?’ → ‘With Martin?’
‘wants a naked dyke’ → ‘wants a naked dancer’

Change a few she/he’s around, and you’re sorted ;)

Great story, left kind of a sad-yet-amused idea in my mind, and the slow way of learning everything makes it interesting until the very end.
