This challenge has ended!
I have reached the milestone of writing 100 entries. Some were series, some were poetry, but mostly, I couldn’t have done it without the inspiration of challenges. I am proposing one of my favorite challenges of the past.
Take these five words and use them in a ficly.
You may change tenses if you need to, volley to volleyed, or sticky to stickier.. to make it work, but bonus points if you don’t. Any genre is fine.
I can’t wait to see what you make of this!
each entry is worth re-read!
So, after re-reading these stories, I have found that you have made it very hard on me to choose a winner.
As far as war stories go, Death in the Valley by Wyatt was short, yet so full of color, action, and brutality, it has stuck with me.
I’m a sucker for good comedy and Muffin’s Volleyball!!! was outrageous!
But not to be outdone, Petros came back with A Silver Lining, which was beautifully executed in it’s, uh, execution!
Romance sweet was in the air in Match’s Under the Stars, and cleverly using the word volley, I’m swept off my feet like the lovers in love.
But the poem by Revenant Rover knocked my socks off! I never expected a poem entry, certainly not one with such delicious descriptions! Even with the twisted ending, I have to hand over the medal. Congrats!
Oh shoot, it’s judging time!
Ooohhh.. Finally over. Who will emerge victorious?
Awkish, some were the words of the day on some Word of the Day website, and some were inspired from other places. :)
These are fun words. Did you just randomly open your handy dictionary? Or did you find them in the park, or under you bed?
lol, Rover! maybe I am a bit emily dickens-ish
The words looked sort of Emily Dickinson-ish.
hmm this one is really challenging. im gonna have to think about this one. im sure it will come to me.
Want to join in the fun? Of course you do!
