One thought, if they leave the path they followed in open to space then they depressurize every compartment they enter. Anyone not in a p-suit is exposed to vacuum. That will drastically cut down on the number of opponents.

I really like the invisible man suit. Great idea.

If there is noise from machinery, they must have closed a blast door or something behind you and repressurized the other compartments.

Ah, a little example of the fuzziness of history… we have been making plasmas longer than metamaterials, true, but we have good useful metamaterials already even though we don’t yet have plasma shields! But they are believed to be possible, and for this exact purpose. Great Science, AR!
