Library: a place to roar

This challenge has ended!

This is National Library Week. This is National Poetry Month. Friday, April 19, is the National Day of Silence. Seems a lot of people are being very loud about ideas and thoughts. Librarians are often on the front lines of battles over civil liberties and social rights.
Remember “Fahrenheit 451”?
Some of my family members and friends are librarians. Share a story, real or imagined, about how loudly ideas can reverberate through a library.

Okay, this was a really hard decision in terms of a winner. Just want you to know that the variety of submissions was so enjoyable!

  2. Avatar stargazer1960

There is really a nice variety of offerings here so far.

I’m not sure that my story qualifies but since your challenge helped inspire it, I thought I’d add it anyway.

Want to join in the fun? Of course you do!
