I cannot sleep. I am in bed with my iPod. I have just devoured this entire series: the romance, the heartbreak, the breakups, (the blowjobs).You certainly have a knack for capturing humanity in words… THAT is what makes it so enjoyable – it’s not arty or abstract it’s just big, melodramatic indulgence… And I think I can safely say on behalf of much of Ficly that we all love it :) Well done on your hundredth fic, it was certainly a worthy episode for such a milestone!

“3 to 4 weeks” pregnant is actually before the first missed period. Time within a pregnancy is measured from the first day of the last period, so “1 or 2 weeks pregnant” is actually prior to conecption. Odd, but there you go.

Our midwife’s advice about sex during pregnancy is “only if you want it”. It cannot damage the baby in any way.

You are advised to avoid sex during the final month, as prostaglandin in semen can bring on labour at that point.

Median pregnancy is 40 weeks (38 weeks from conception). The baby is not considered premature from week 37, and will be removed (induced labour or c-section) before the end of week 42.

Still enjoying the story, but your facts are a bit wrong here.

yeah, I see, I know that it doesnt affect the baby, but Stacie does not. Seeing as its her first time ever.

Secondly, yeah, my facts are probably wrong, considering that I haven’t done any research on the matter, but if it bothers people so much I wouldnt mind changing it.

Given that it’s the doctor telling her that it can affect the baby, what Stacie knows shouldn’t really enter into it.

If we’re just passing through this en-route to somewhere else, it’s not a major problem. If a major plot point hangs off it, it can wreck the story. You’re in the driving seat here: fix it if it’s going to be major problem, don’t bother if not.

Keep the pen pushing forward. Fix it in the rewrite.
