This is what i decided after i had a story fall through the cracks for the first time.

(Since then it has been read and commenting, so maybe this says something about my patience.)

Awesome but irrelevant. Hell I love it anyhows.

I like the tone of adolescent defiance but I’m not sure if this qualifies as a story. More of a personal statement. Still, it made me smile so thanks for that.

Eh? I think it’s a little too JD Salinger (pre-mortem) for me.

kind of a pick yourself by the bootstraps attitude that you need when those rejection letters come in… secretly, you do need your readers’ approval. But hey, whatever works! If I need to tell myself.. I mean, if you need to tell yourself… oops. nevermind.

It can also be considered a haiku as the 5-7-5 structure is not totally de rigueur.
And it’s perfect prose.
And it’s showing an attitude of uncompromising independence, a good example.

I write for me, too… I’m just not so up front about it. And Gurth, the 3-line bit of a haiku is de rigeur and it’s certainly missing that.
