Nice. Agree – from a teacher (though not specifically English) Also – ‘Eats, Shoots, and Leaves’ is an awesome book, and ‘The Elements of Style’ by Strunk & White should be required reading. Respect the English language – it’s our best tool as writers.

I LOVE THOSE BOOKS.
I’m thinking of following up with a sequel.
Hurrah!
well said.
I couldn’t agree more… Eats, Shoots and Leaves and The Elements of Style are both required reading in my AP English Lang. course. ;)
lol it always bothers me when people get those wrong. I remember learning that in third grade lol. It’s/Its sometimes stumps me tho :/
Reagan – the apostrophe denotes missing letters. So it’s only “it’s” when it really means it is. Or when you could use the old english “tis” in its place. The rest of the time it’s “its”. See, it’s easy ;-)
nice double entendre on “grammar rules” btw
I very much like this story. Rise up, fellow Grammer Nazis! Rise up!

Glad somebody caught it, Coccinella!
Dammit, didn’t mean to rate my own story. :(
I really think you should enter this into the “Well, that’s new” challenge. But I’m feeling snarky tonight. :)
I always try to pay attention to those.
